Trickie ® cooling scarf
How does a cooling scarf work?
Before putting on Trickie®, activate it by placing the scarf in cold water. The innovative cooling elements in Trickie® absorb the cold water and retain it for several days to several weeks, depending on the weather conditions.
The Trickie® cooling scarf provides up to 20 hours of cooling after activation (depending on the weather conditions). You can always hold Trickie® briefly under the cold tap during the day for extra cooling or put it in the fridge for a while.
By cooling the many blood vessels in your neck, your entire body will experience the refreshing effect.
Thanks to the durable design, you can reactivate the scarf with water over and over again.
How long does Trickie provide cooling?
Trickie ® is made to provide long-term cooling, you will be able to enjoy a cooling effect for up to 20 hours after activating it in cold water, depending on the weather conditions. And it can take a long time (up to several weeks) for Trickie ® to lose all its moisture.
The cooling effect will decrease over time depending on the weather conditions. For best results, we recommend that you briefly run Trickie ® under the cold tap several times during the day on warm summer days or place it in the refrigerator in between for best cooling results.
What to do if Trickie no longer feels cool?
The Trickie ® cooling scarf provides cooling for a long time. You will experience the cooling effect the most during the first period of use.
This is due to the effect of habituation. Compare it to stepping into a cold sea in the summer. When you step into it, the sea feels very cold, but when you stand in the same water for a longer period of time, you will have the feeling that the sea water has become warmer, which of course is not the case. But that does not mean that the cooling stops, you just experience it less.
If you experience less cooling, the best thing you can do is to stop using the scarf for a while, turn it over, briefly hold the scarf under the cold tap or place the scarf in the refrigerator or in the freezer for a maximum of 20 minutes for extra cooling.
How can I store the Trickie?
Simply rinse the scarf with clean water after each use and/or before storing and do not place the scarf on water-sensitive surfaces such as untreated wood after use.
If you are not going to use Trickie® for a long time, let it dry completely in a well-ventilated area before storing, otherwise there will be a risk of mold formation.
The supplied packaging is intended to store the scarf during the winter months when it has already lost all its moisture.
After how long should I put Trickie back in cold water?
Trickie is made to retain moisture for a long time, you will be able to use a cooling effect for at least 20 hours. And it will take a few days to a few weeks for Trickie to lose all its moisture, depending on the weather conditions.
The cooling effect will be less depending on the weather conditions. You can put Trickie back in cold water at any time or hold it under the cold tap for extra cooling.
On very hot days we recommend doing this several times a day for the best cooling result.
Can I activate the Trickie cooling scarf in any type of water?
No, Trickie is only suitable for activation in clean fresh water. Placing the scarf in salt water or chlorinated water (such as the sea or swimming pool) can damage the scarf to such an extent that it is no longer usable.
How long should Trickie be in the refrigerator?
Trickie does not need to be refrigerated, you can use the cooling scarf immediately after it has absorbed cold and clean tap water.
It is nice to put Trickie in the fridge for extra cooling during summer days. You can leave the scarf in the fridge for a few hours or keep it in the fridge during periods of heat, so that you always have an extra cool scarf at hand.
If you want to cool it down quickly in between, you can also put it in the freezer for a short time. Please note that complete freezing can cause the scarf to burst, so only put it in the freezer for a short time (maximum 20 minutes).
After how long should I put Trickie back in cold water?
Trickie is made to retain moisture for a long time. Depending on the weather conditions, you will be able to use a cooling effect for up to 20 hours and it will take a few days to a few weeks for Trickie to lose all its moisture again.
The cooling effect does diminish over time. You can therefore put Trickie back in cold water at any time or hold it under the cold tap for a while.
On hot days we recommend doing this several times a day for optimal cooling.
Can I wash Trickie?
Yes, just by hand. Using regular detergent for hand washing is no problem.
Can Trickie go in the dryer?
No, Trickie is not suitable for putting in the dryer. The cooling elements are designed to retain moisture.
Can I iron Trickie?
No, Trickie is not suitable for ironing.
What material is Trickie made of?
The Trickie® cooling scarf has emerged from a long test phase and the scarf has been extensively tested by various authorities in the field of safety & cooling capacity.
The scarf is made from, among other things:
Specially developed and very fine antibacterial and Super Absorbent Polymer and water-resistant organic cotton that meets the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) & OEKO-TEX certification.
I sweat quite a lot, could this affect the operation?
Yes, the Trickie scarf is designed to absorb and retain moisture. If you sweat a lot around the neck, the scarf will partially absorb the warm body moisture, making the scarf warmer.
In this case, it is best to reactivate the scarf several times a day in cold water and try to keep your neck as dry as possible.
What sizes is Trickie available in?
The Trickie ® cooling scarf is available in one size, namely 86 cm x 5 cm.
Can I also wear Trickie without a logo?
Trickie is always supplied with a logo. If you would like to wear the scarf without a logo, you can do so by turning the scarf over so that the logo is on the inside. If you want to use Trickie for business purposes, please inquire about options via info@trickie.nl
I want to use Trickie for business purposes, is that possible?
Sure! If you would like to use Trickie for business purposes, for example at an event, or as a giveaway to your staff, you can contact us for the possibilities via info@trickie.nl.

What are the delivery times and shipping costs?
Trickie is a Dutch company, when your Trickie is in stock, it will be shipped within 24 hours with PostNL. This way you will generally have your Trickie within 48 hours. We are dependent on the delivery schedule of PostNL. If you order on Friday after 16:00 or in the weekend, it is possible that you will receive your Trickie a little later.
For orders under €20 you pay €2.95 shipping costs within the Netherlands. For orders above €20 we cover the costs and you pay nothing for shipping.
What payment methods are there?
You can pay your Trickie via Ideal, Apple Pay, Klarna or via creditcard. We support the most used banks.
I live abroad, can I order Trickie?
Of course! We would be happy to send Trickie to you. We calculate shipping costs depending on the size of your order and the country of destination. These will be calculated at check-out.
Is Trickie vegan?
Yes, Trickie is vegan and does not contain any materials involving animals.
Do I have a warranty on Trickie?
Yes, you can expect us to deliver a good product to you. Read all about our warranty scheme in our general terms and conditions .
How do returns work?
Of course, it can happen that you ordered the wrong size, or that you changed your mind. In that case, you can return Trickie.
Return conditions:
- You have 30 days after receiving Trickie to register your return with us.
- You then have 14 days to return your Trickie.

To return Trickie, first register the return by sending an email to info@trickie.nl or use the contact form on our contact page . Please state your original order number and the reason for return.
If you make use of our return policy according to the right of withdrawal, the product must be returned with all accessories supplied and - if reasonably possible - in the original condition and packaging.

Purchase amount refunded

Can I also exchange Trickie?
If you want to receive another color of Trickie you can place a new order in our store. The Trickie in the wrong color you can return to us.
What is the legal right of withdrawal?
As a consumer you have a so-called right of withdrawal .
This means that you can cancel the order up to 14 days after receipt.
After cancellation you have another 14 days to return Trickie to us

I have a complaint, how can I contact you?

We will do our utmost to find a solution together with you that satisfies you. You may return Trickie within 30 days without giving any reason. We would of course like to know why you are returning Trickie.
